Hello, and welcome to the Japan Careers Program Community Forum! We at the Japan Careers Program have created this space for anyone interested in living and working in Japan to discuss various related topics with and support one another in your journey with Japan. We ask you, as a member of this community, to please conduct yourselves as you would in any public space with respect for one another, as well as for yourself. All community members should keep the following basic rules in mind:
- Be respectful, courteous, and professional. This community does not tolerate hate speech or prejudice directed toward any person for reasons including (but not limited to) gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, religion/creed, nationality, etc. Obscene, harassing, abusive, and otherwise discriminatory content is also prohibited.
- Do not post your or another person's personal or identifiable information. This includes information such as full name, exact age, contact info, specific location, photos taken or posted online without permission, etc.
- Avoid in-depth discussion of politics, religion, and other highly polarizing topics. Simple questions such as, "Where can I find prayer rooms in Tokyo?" are perfectly fine, but questions such as, "What do you think of this politician's recent statement?" are not.
- Don't use this space for advertising, promotion, or posting spam. Sharing useful information is encouraged, but do not abuse the community to repeatedly promote your own or anyone else's content, especially if it does not pertain to topics being discussed.
Administrators and moderators have the final say when it comes to consequences for violating any of the above rules, but in general, offending posts will be removed and the offending user will be warned. Multiple offenses and particularly severe offenses will result in permanent removal from the community. These rules are subject to change. If we do make changes, this post will be updated.
